Fashion shoot with an illustrator on board

It was great to team up with photographer Emma Jane Lewis, Models Markie Pearl and Wiktoria Salajczyk and Stylist Zoe Van Spyk of We are Water Vintage once more to create these images.
Emma had an illustrator on board, Sneha Kalraand and I had no idea what the final images would look like until they were printed in Elegant Magazine and I got my first few peeks.

The Spec of this shoot was based around 'Colour Pop' with the colour palette and styling based around bright colours, bold lines, lots of pink and light blue. Eyebrows to play a part in the colour pop and to really show.  Also to think about the option of using wigs.  Styling to be similar - colour pop and retro.

I love the final images and feel that the illustration adds a whole new dimension to the finished photos.  I decided to share both illustrated and non side by side for you to form your own opinion as to which you prefer and will explain how I achieved the hair and make-up further down.

I used wigs from Annabelle's Wigs which was easy on Markie due to me being able to wrap her hair to go under the wig.  However, Wiktoria has so much thick long hair that I had to flat plait it in small sections to be able to fit all of her hair under the wig.

I used pastel blues and pinks on the eyes and eyebrows, mixing the right eyeshadow colour with a sealant to create a bolder colour that would stay rather than blend down too much.

I stayed with pastel and brighter pinks on the lips  and cheeks to complete the look.

Brand New Wedding Website

Hello, I hope you like my new look website. This has been quite a time coming as I have been working with my web people for the majority of the year working on the site. I am now proud to announce that my new site is up and running - and I am extremely proud of it. I appreciate all of your comments and will be running a very exciting competition very soon. In the meantime, I hope you will have an explore around my site and leave any feedback. My website started off with humble beginnings in 2003. I asked my cousin to design it.  It was very simple and got straight to the point! Then in 2010 I decided that I needed a re-design.  This is when I researched web people and decided upon using Hope and Creed .  They offer a friendly, relaxed service and are extremely informative throughout the entire process.   By the end of 2012 I was getting a little bit sick and tired of pink! I loved my website, but it was a website that ONLY showed my wedding hair and make up work

ABOUT YOU........ What is your background? I’m Marianne, I’m a young (in my head) photographer who specialises in weddings but who occasionally ganders with music photography as well. I’m self-taught through the school of Google, so essentially I learnt everything I know from online resources and trial and erroring during my film photography hobby days… then one day a friend asked me to photograph their wedding so I picked up a digital camera and haven’t stopped since! I still own 16 film cameras and will be using some of them at the weddings. ABOUT YOUR COMPANY Tell me a bit about your company and what you have to offer to the wedding industry. I’m a wedding photographer offering a fun, relaxed, alternative documentary style of photography! I’m based in London but I adventure all over to shoot weddings. I offer a more modern and quirky service, I think the kind of clients that book me want someone friendly who can blend into their day and be a part of it ra

Harry Derbidge Boutique - Harry's World

Thursday was a great fun day spent with Annabelle's Wigs; Harry Derbidge recently got in touch with Annabelle's Wigs with a photo and asked if four wigs could be made up for his shop mannequins in his Boutique in Essex. 'Harry's World' The wigs arrived so we jumped in the car to take them up, style them and to start a new 'hairy' trend with mannequins;                                                Meet Barbara and Wendy - Harry's mannequins with their new hair...... extra high with extra length! Harry checking out the fringe..... he is a happy, happy chappie!                                          Harry asked for two more wigs the same style but in different colours to be made up so that he can change the hair colours from time to time.  Modelled by Harry and Myself ! Who says that work can't be fun?   Harry is such a cutie that he wouldn't let us leave without giving us a little prezzie from his shop..... Love
