A Vintage Wedding in Brighton

I have chosen to share with you hair and make up from last weeks wedding.

When my bride turned up for her trial she told me that she never ever wore make up and definitely didn't do anything interesting or different with her hair.
But it just so happened that my luck was in - She had visited a photographic studio to create some beautiful photos as a wedding gift to her husband to be.  whilst at this photo shoot, the make up artist gave her quite a vintage look with thick black eyeliner and flicks and bright red lipstick.

My bride loved this look so much that she asked me to recreate it for her wedding day (something she never would have dreamed of before)

At her trial, after recreating the make up look that she desired we played around with her hair, looking at different styles to go with her make up and wedding dress.
She thought she had decided to go with a large side bun when she completely changed her mind after trying on her wedding dress for the final fitting where she could only picture herself with one hair style that I had given her...... Hence, the final look was created!;

The bride was extremely happy for her wedding day, and all guests were pleasantly surprised with how she looked, her husband?............................ Over the moon!
Dear Amy,

Thank you so much for my amazing hair and make up, it made me feel like a movie star and caused quite a stir with our wedding guests. The vintage look really made a statement while still looking like me. As someone who hates having her photo's taken your styling gave me the confidence to to smile at the camera all day. I can't recommend you highly enough.

Love Betty x

British Heart Foundation Wear It Beat It Campaign

It was really great to be the hair and make-up artist for the new British Heart Foundation campaign - Wear It. Beat It 2017 -  https://wearitbeatit.bhf.org.uk This was a two day photoshoot working with a wonderful team from  Killer Creative  marketing agency. On the first day I worked with heart survivor's, consultants and surgeons which was great as I got to listen to a lot of amazing stories that people were happy to share.  In fact, this is one of the favourite parts of my work - getting to hear about other people's lives and the fact that people want share with me. On the second day, a lot of male, female and children models arrived to have their hair and make-up done so that the British Heart Foundation had a variety of photos to share for their next big advertising campaign. I really enjoyed being a member of the team that created photos for this campaign for the British Heart Foundation and look ...

How to cover up a tattoo using Camouflage creams

As a cosmetic camouflage practitioner I get asked to cover up scars, burn marks, port wine stains, birth marks, broken capillaries, Rosacea, eczema and all other skin conditions and discolourations.  When I am doing a wedding, I often get asked to cover up a tattoo or two! Below I will outline how you can cover up your own tattoo using Cosmetic camouflage creams. There are many creams available on the market, my product of choice is Dermacolor by Kryolan - this is endorsed by many companies including British Association of British Camouflage and Skin Camouflage Network.  Some of the products are also available on Prescription if your doctor gives you a prescription for the product - otherwise you can buy it direct from Charles H Fox.  1. - tattoo before any cosmetic camouflage creams have been applied. 2. If the tattoo is black, you need to apply a red colour on top of the black to neutralise the colour - I apply the product using a lip brush or liner brush....
