Beauty photo shoot with Martin Higgs

I had the opportunity to work with Photographer Martin Higgs a couple of years ago when we was both booked for the same shoot by Wig company Annabelle's Wigs . Since then, I have watched Martin's photography grow and grow and was quite in awe of a lot of his close up beauty work.  Therefore I was overjoyed to get the chance to work with him again. We started up a pinterest board of looks that we both liked and would base our inspiration on;  https://www.pinterest.com/amyprifti/martin-higgs-amy-prifti/ The shoot took place at Kirstie Blake Photography studio and we was joined by three amazing models; Hayley J Thomas  ; After using a Kryolan Foundation base followed by Dermacolor concealer palette for concealing, highlighting and shading I set the skin with dermacolor fixing powder. I used Kryolan eyebrow palette to fill in Hayley's eyebrows and then applied a Rimmel Black liquid eyeliner on the eye lid. I attached feathers under the eyes using duo eyelash...

Wedding at Florence House, Seaford

I often drive past Florence house when driving to Seaford Head and often wonder what it looks like inside/ This year, I was lucky enough for one of my brides to be getting married there.  Making it the first time that I could officially be nosey! The drive leading up to the house I met today's bride, Sarah, a few years back when she attended one of my make up courses that I taught at Sussex Downs College so it was a lovely compliment for her to get back in touch after all these years to ask me to do hair and make up for her wedding day. Bridesmaids both had a very natural make up and a low side curly bun. The younger bridesmaid also had a few plaits incorporated. Mum had decided on a loose curly up do which I feel complimented her fascinator perfectly.  I also applied mauve eyeshadow and quite a strong lip colour so that she didn't look washed out. Sarah herself went for a half up style with loose curls. I also applied semi perm...

Richard asked if we could aim towards a traditional Egyptian look, based on stonework; I love the finished photos :-) We then gave it more of a fashion look             Finishing off with  a more creative Egyptian look; Hair and make up - Amy Prifti Model - Faith Obae Photographer - Richard Maxim Stylist - Falcieri Designs

Art Nude Photo shoot

PLEASE NOTE, THIS BLOG POST CONTAINS NUDITY. What ever your opinion is on art nude photography, I believe that if it is done correctly, the result should be a beautiful artistic photograph celebrating the human form. I was employed by photographer Richard Maxim for a shoot with the gorgeous Faith Obae model where we was joined by Claudia of Falcieri designs. It was a full on day and we decided to finish off the shoot with these art nude looks; Claudia suggested that we use the floor of the studio to create these looks, her reasoning behind it being that Faith would not be limited to the positions that she could create and hold.  Seeing as she was free to move I really feel that this was so beneficial to how the finished looks ended up. I made the last minute decision to paint half of Faith's body using a purple aqua colour body paint by Kryolan  and I am so glad that I did as I feel it really adds an extra dimension to the photos. The photo above is my fav...
